Thing 3 - Register Your Blog

The title of Thing 3 is a bit misleading as it is not about registering my blog.  It is, in fact, about ways in which I can see myself using a blog in my teaching.  An obvious use is keeping my parents up-to-date with what we are doing in class.  I can blog about the lesson for the day and what the students are learning.  Another way to use a blog in the classroom is to have the students create their own blog for creative writing purposes.  Of course this would depend on whether or not the students have computer access in the classroom.  As a secondary English teacher, however, I do see some great potential in using blogging to further my students' writing and education.
